I began my massage education in Thailand in 2003, studying Thai massage at
the Old Medicine Hospital in Chaing Mai. This led me to pursue an 850 hour
program in massage therapy in Crested Butte, Colorado in 2005. Included in
my program was Swedish massage, sports, deep tissue, hot stone,
reflexology, prenatal, shiatsu, neuromuscular and trigger point therapy
and manual lymph drainage.
I went on to cultivate my skills in a variety of settings. I focused on
sports and deep tissue while living in ski towns in Colorado and
California and working on athletes and the multitudes of injuries that
they presented. I spent a good deal of time working in high end spas where
i perfected the art of relaxation massage and spa therapies including hot
stone massage. I've also worked in chiropractic settings where i've become
proficient at addressing acute injuries stemming from auto accidents and
chronic pain resulting from long term misalignment.
You will find me caring and compassionate with a strong and gentle touch.
My style tends towards the slow and deep, allowing plenty of time for
muscles to relax. I draw upon my experience with Thai and my training as a
yoga instructor and include deep stretches in many massages as well. Pre
massage communication is very important so I can understand each client's
individual needs and tailor each session to address those.
I look forward to working with you on your next visit to Zama Massage.
