Genevra holds over 12 years of massage and spa experience, specializing in modalities such as myofascial release therapy, deep tissue/sports therapy, Sufi healing, cupping, Ashiatsu, and Reiki. Genevra carries years of experience in owning businesses and marketing them. Her dreams for Zama are rooted in “healing one person at a time,” ultimately creating a different kind of spa – a world class guest-focused facility, where pain relief, detox, spa pampering, and heart centered care exist under one roof. She personally trains the massage therapists, making sure that each of them are aligned with the vision of Zama: to give each and every Zama guest freedom and healing from stress and pain, and provide them with an overall sense of well-being. Genevra believes that at Zama, every guest is a VIP.
Genevra loves to spend time traveling and dreaming with her husband, Daniel Cardoso, a prominent and respected member of the Portland business community. Together they are exploring five star spas around the world, and have big plans that are soon to come for the vision of Zama.
Allee came to Zama after spending precious time incubating her management style and business philosophy in both Spas and Athletic Clubs in the Portland Metro Area. Her leadership style, coupled with her down to earth appeal, provides a magnitude of gifts to Zama. Years of experience as a fitness expert and personal trainer coupled with (quite literally) kicks and falls in the professional horse back riding circuit gave her deep appreciation for the incredible practice of massage and bodywork! With a Business Administration and Sociology Degree from University of Oregon, this serious Ducks fan leads by example. This matches perfectly with her favorite quote, “There is no exercise better for the human heart than reaching down to lift another person up.” Her goal in life is to inspire people to be a light for those around them. From leading the Zama Team to delivering a 5-star spa experience for each and every Zama guest, her vision continues to blossom, and Zama is blessed to have her!
When Allee is not lighting up the Spa world, she volunteers for Special Olympics, and loves spending time with her family and her beloved animals.
Brittany comes to us with extensive massage and bodywork experience. Massage has always been a passion and she got started at the young age of 18! Brittany started working with her mentor, a proficient chiropractor who was instrumental in educating her on how the body works. She attended Ashmead College and through her internship at her mentor’s clinic, discovered a deep passion and commitment to healing the body through massage therapy.
Brittany has practiced for over 15 years and has helped people all over the world feel better in their bodies! She practiced on cruise ships, has worked with a large variety of doctors, and in recent years she has been passionately sharing her healing work at Zama.
The modalities she focuses on include trigger point work, active release therapy, Swedish relaxation massage, table Thai, massage cupping and has been integrating Ashiatsu deep feet one and two into her practice.
Brittany was invited to help lead Zama’s management team first as Massage Director and most recently she was promoted to Assistant Spa Director. She has an innate ability to train and advance massage professionals as well as the entire team here at Zama. She and the Spa Director, Allee Lindahl, work hand in hand in providing a compassionate and professional experience for our customers as well as our team. Brittany is loved by her clients and highly effective with staff development. In her words, “One of the most important things to me is our team. My passion is making sure everyone feels like they can succeed, that they feel valued, and supported.”
Bodywork is what Brittany loves most for work, but these days she has found a new love in her life, her family. In her spare time, she spends time at the gym, plays the piano and relaxes at home with her husband and daughter.
Erika is an incredible asset to the Zama Management team! Since she was a little girl she loved putting on makeup and doing hair so she got started on her spa related career her senior year in high school when she obtained her cosmetology license at Beauty School at Manning Academy! Without wasting any time, she jumped into a career doing hair for 2 and a half years. Once she got to Zama, she learned that she actually loves running the business side of the spa. Her passion for the back end tasks, careful eye and strong organizational habits has made her an excellent fit for our Office Manager!
Erika is a new homeowner and a passionate furrmomma. In her spare time she enjoys taking her pups for walks, and spending time with her family. Erika has a 5-year goal of turning her new condo into a rental and buying a home in a peaceful rural area so she has lots of room for her pups!
